Greenquest is a term describing our search for appropriate, environmentally sensitive, land use based on an understanding of the land.

The objective of our land use plan is to minimize long term negative impact on our site, whilst providing tranquil pastoral home sites and land for recreation and human enjoyment of nature and natural resources, and whilst maximizing the biodiversity of the area.

The bioregional, climatic and human geographical context of Thetis Islands influenced our land use planning and the type of lots that we needed to produce, clearly views, sunshine, natural beauty, access to waterfront, tranquility, a rural lifestyle, gardening, outdoor recreation - both land and water based, family life, cottage/cabin retreats, retirement and, by inference, the privacy necessary to enjoy these benefits, were likely to be priorities for those seeking a lot on Thetis.

We gathered and collated information on the site and a land use plan based upon our goals and the information developed in an iterative fashion. At various stages the plan guided decision making, and those decisions led to further revisions of the overall plan. This plan addresses our goal of greenquest, and provides lots that we hope will meet the priorities of those seeking a place on Thetis.
